Since July 2023, Mutianyu Scenic Area in Huairou District has restarted its "night tour" mode, and its business hours have been extended to 21:00. At the same time, many new night events have been held. The "Night Tour" mode will continue until August 31st 2023, with the open area being enemy buildings from the 10th to the 15th towers.
In the evening, on the Mutianyu, many tourists were attracted by the display of Han costume culture, zither playing, dance performances, etc. As the sky gradually darkened, the wall washing lamps, arrow hole lamps, and light strips on the enemy buildings from No. 10 to No. 15 of the Mu Zi and the Great Wall walkway lit up one after another, adding a unique charm to the ancient Great Wall.
The person in charge of the scenic area introduced that during the "night tour" period, ticket checks start at 17:00 every day and end at 21:00. The scenic area offers a special night show package, which includes unlimited cable car rides, allowing tourists to reach the Great Wall in just five or six minutes. The Great Wall Hotel and Yisonglou Restaurant in the scenic area also offer beer garden supporting projects. Dinner and barbecue are included in the package, allowing tourists to relax and dine after enjoying the sunset and night view of the Great Wall.
