Ma Tian Village Drum Tower, the fourth batch of national protection in 1996, is the earliest national protection site in Hunan. It was built during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and was renovated during the Republic of China. It is a rare building that combines a drum tower and a stage. The second floor has a spacious interior and excellent views, standing out among the many drum towers.
